When you purchase a Blackbird Fabrics class or workshop, you agree to our class policies.
Refunds & Exchanges
All sales are final. Please ensure that you are able to attend the class prior to signing up or completing your purchase. We will not be able to issue refunds or exchanges on any cancellations.
Due to space limitations and class engagement, the classes will be limited to a select number of spots. Only registered students may sit in on class. As we are a smaller studio, children or guardians may not sit in unless they have also registered for a space. We have a minimum age of 16 for all of our workshops. Sorry kiddos!
If you have any food allergies or allergen issues that may cause discomfort during the hours of the workshop, please inform us prior to the workshop day and we will provide assistance.
If you are required to bring anything to the class, it will be detailed in the workshop listing. Otherwise, all necessary items will be provided for use during the workshop.
The focus of our workshops is learning, and of course having fun! For project based classes, we cannot guarantee that you will complete your project by the end of the class.
Location & Time
Classes will be held at our studio located at 1330 Napier Street (just east of Clark and Napier) in Vancouver.
If using transit, the #22 bus is best option in either direction. However, we are only a short commute from Commercial Drive, and a 25 minute walk from either Commercial or VCC Skytrain stations.
If driving, there is street parking right outside of the studio. If the street is full, the residential area located around the studio may offer more spots. With all locations, please use caution when leaving anything in the vehicle as parking is at your discretion.
Classes will start on time. Please arrive 10-15 minutes early for your class to allow time for set-up.
All students registered in classes receive 15% off fabric and notions on the day of the class. Purchases must be made in the studio and the discount cannot be applied to later purchases.
Risk of Injury
We want you to have an absolute blast in our workshops! Sewing can be a wonderful and fruitful experience, but know that it does involve the use of scissors, cutter, sharp pins, and other notions that can cause injury if improperly used. Blackbird Fabrics is not responsible for any injuries, damages, or harm caused during or as a result of your class or workshop.
Blackbird Fabrics reserves to right to update our class policies at anytime and without notice.
