The Share a Square picnic blanket came out of the want to bring community together to connect and share space. The picnic blanket features button loops on the under side and buttons on the upper side to connect with other blankets. The pattern is designed to be beginner-friendly and uses loops instead of button holes for ease of construction.

The Share a Square picnic blanket can be cut from any fabric 110cm width or wider, and requires 1.2M for the main fabric and 1.1M for the optional lining.

- 14 buttons size 30L-36L (19-23mm / 3/4”- 7/8”)
Main fabric - The Picnic Blanket works best made with light to mid-weight natural fabrics like cotton. If you’re feeling adventurous, you could also piece your main fabric together out of scraps to make a patchwork blanket, or quilt it!
Lining - Lining is optional for the underside of the blanket. Similar to the main fabric, a light to mid-weight natural fabric is recommended. Alternatively, a waterproof fabric or quilted fabric could be used as well.
