Calyx Skirt - Fortiv - PDF Download
The Calyx Skirt by Fortiv is an elastic waist skirt with a mini ruffle at the waist, princess seams, and gathers across the hips. There are two waistband width options for this pattern, 3/8"/1cm or 1"/2.5cm, as well as the option to have one (or two!) drawstrings.
The original inspiration for the Calyx skirt was to create a cute wear-with-anything skirt that prioritized comfort and adjustability while being able to be sewn in a variety of lightweight fabrics.
The Calyx Skirt is made with a straight stitch and serged seams, but can easily be sewn with French seams if you don't have access to a serger for clean finished seams.

The Calyx Skirt requires 1.4m - 2.8m (1.5yds - 3yds) depending on your size and the width of fabric you choose.

The Calyx Skirt works best with lightweight fabrics with a good drape. Some of my recommendations include cotton voile, cotton gauze, cotton lawn, light chambray, satin silk, silk charmeuse.
