Introducing the Nico Pants, Shorts, and Capris! All bundled into one very versatile sewing pattern!
The Nico styles feature a waistband with elastic at the sides and double drawstrings that tie at the front, making it easy to adjust throughout the day (and add a playful touch!). The flat waistband at the front and the gently elasticized sides allow the body to grow with minimal pressure on the stomach and lower back, and ease in with drawstrings when needed.
The pants have an easeful fit overall with a wide straight leg and pin-tucked seams down the front and back legs.
The Nico Pant is offered in sizes XS-6XL, and comes in 4 additional cropped lengths with a slight flare at the hem- 2 shorts and 2 capri lengths
A straight stitch machine and serger are used to make this style, though an alternate seam finish can be easily adapted.
Sewing level: Intermediate

The Nico Shorts require 1.2m - 3m, depending on the size and fabric width chosen, and whether you choose the short or long inseam length.
The Nico Capris require 1.6m - 3.4m, depending on the size and fabric width chosen, and whether you choose the short or long inseam length.

The Nico Pants work with a variety of light to mid-weight fabrics, depending on your desired outcome. Some fabric types we recommend are: lightweight wool/ wool blend suiting, cotton, and linen. This design also works great for 2-tone pants and/or contrasting drawstrings!
