Boiled viscose and wool blend fabric. Boiled wool is a knit fabric that has been agitated in hot water. This causes the fibers to shrink and creates a beautiful textured textile that has a little bit of give. The wool content provides natural warmth and the rayon offers a unique drape unlike most classic boiled wools. Our lightweight boiled wool blend has a classic wool hand feel that is best suited for coatigans, oversized sweaters and loose fitting tops that are lined or worn as layering pieces. One of our favourite boiled wool features is that you can leave the edges raw and they won't fray. This gives hems, necklines and cuffs a cool, minimalist aesthetic and it makes sewing a little easier!
Content: 60% Viscose / 40% Wool
Width: 145cm / 57"
Weight: Medium weight, 340gsm
Opacity: Mostly opaque
*This fabric has more drape than 100% boiled wool fabrics due to its high viscose content. As such, we recommend it for relaxed fit garments rather than structured coats.
Care: Hand wash or dry clean, do not bleach, iron low. This fabric can be machine washed and tumble dried but will shrink significantly in both width and length.
