About the Class
What is the difference between fold-over and picot elastic? Which is the best fabric to use for bra cups and bra bands? Why do I look like Madonna in the 80's when I wear my me-made bras? Sometimes, we all wish that we could have that little extra help when working on our lingerie projects and patterns. We're in luck! Erin from the fantastic website and pattern company, Emerald Erin, will be in the studio to help tackle your lingerie or swimwear related questions and unfinished projects.
Our open sewing night is the opportunity to come work in our wonderful studio space - including the use of our extra large cutting tables, sewing machines, and notions. This night is suitable for all levels of sewing, however you must be comfortable threading and operating a sewing machine. This is a great way to hang out with your favourite sewing pals (or make some new ones!)
- 3 hours of available instruction
- Use of our cutting tables, cutting mats, irons, rotary cutters, scissors and notions.
- Use of our Janome sewing machines and Juki sergers.
- Snack and refreshments.
- A 15% discount coupon to use for a future purchase.
Please note that you may bring whichever project you would like to work on, however we recommend working on lingerie or swimwear based projects to utilize the assistance of our guest instructor. If you are working on construction of a particular pattern, please bring any instructional reading so we are able to assist you better. Unfortunately, we do not have thread available for this event so please ensure you bring all necessary fabrics and thread.
