Lightweight Boiled Wool & Viscose - Black
($22.50 per meter)
Boiled viscose and wool blend fabric. Boiled wool is a knit fabric that has been agitated in hot water. This causes the fibers to shrink and creates a beautiful textured textile. The wool content provides natural warmth and the rayon offers a unique drape unlike most classic boiled wools. Our lightweight Boiled Wool blend has a little bit of give which works well for coatigans, oversized sweaters as well as loose fitting tops that are lined or worn as a layering piece. An interesting feature of Boiled Wool is that you can leave the edges raw without fraying. This gives hems, necklines and cuffs a cool, minimalist aesthetic.
Content: 60% Viscose / 40% Wool
Width: 145cm / 57"
Weight: Medium weight, 340gsm
Opacity: Mostly opaque
*This fabric has more drape than 100% boiled wool fabrics due to its high viscose content. As such, we recommend it for relaxed fit garments rather than structured coats.
Country of origin: China
Care: Hand wash or dry clean, do not bleach, iron low. This fabric can be machine washed and tumble dried but will shrink significantly in both width and length.
