What's the Difference? Double Cloth vs. Double Gauze
Our Textured Cotton Double Cloth and Cotton Double Gauze are Birdie Tried-&-Trues and fabrics we want to wear all year round! While they sound similar, they are totally unique and suited to very different projects. Letβs break it down!
Textured Cotton Double Cloth
Woven from a blend of cotton and nylon, our Textured Cotton Double Cloth features a thick, cushiony hand that's reminiscent of your favourite quilt. The tight double cloth weave gives this fabric a uniquely textured surface and aΒ somewhat-heavy, structured drape. Available in a range of earthy, vintage colours, this fabric is a dream for lightweight jacketsΒ like the Grainline StudioΒ Tamarack Jacket and boxy tops like the Paper Theory LB Pullover.Β

Organic Cotton Double Gauze
Our Organic Cotton Double Gauze is much lighter in weight and features a looser weave, compared to our Textured Cotton Double Cloth. Made from two lightweight layers of gauze that are basted together, it has aΒ puckered,Β lived-in texture that will become more pronouncedΒ after washing.Β This fabric is airy with a billowy drape thatΒ makes it perfect for a breezy Friday Company Sagebush Top and relaxed fitΒ Seamwork Joss Pants.Β

I am looking for the info on how to iron the organic cotton double gauze fabric. I have just washed my piece and I need to iron it before I cut it into the Itch to Stitch short-sleeve Bonn shirt.
Thanks.
Do you have fabric with 4-way stretch suitable for girlβs leggings? I want to use the Love Notions pattern for an 8 year old for back to school.
