Blackbird Fabrics is looking for a confident individual and strong leader who will lead, manage, and motivate our fulfillment team, the largest team within our operation. Our Fulfillment Manager oversees day-to-day warehouse operations related to fulfilling customer orders. They will report to our CEO/Owner and work closely with our warehouse supervisors and fulfillment team members to ensure that we are maintaining our high standard of accuracy, care, and efficiency while meeting company goals and objectives.
Responsibilities
- Provide strong, solid, and positive leadership to fulfillment supervisors and team members, including holding space for check-ins, 1:1s, and proactive performance conversations
- Manage, coordinate, and delegate tasks to fulfillment supervisors and team members
- Ensure that fulfillment guidelines, expectations, standards and procedures are effectively communicated and followed by all applicable team members
- Ensure that team members have been provided with the training, support, and resources required for smooth day-to-day operations and appropriate quality control
- Monitor goals & targets and track team performance as it relates to key metrics
- Work with the Blackbird Fabrics leadership team to ensure that different departments collaborate and intersect harmoniously
- Complete daily administrative work, including: creating batches, coordinating shipments, tracking metrics, and managing the fulfillment team’s schedule
- Proactively communicate with our Customer Service Manager to ensure that refunds, replacements, and mistakes are addressed quickly and to our standards
- Maintain an organized, efficient, and safe warehouse, including: monitoring inventory, ordering shipping and packaging supplies, coordinating organizational tasks, and upholding health and safety standards
- Actively promote an engaging, inclusive, and respectful workplace and escalate concerns to the CEO/Owner as needed
- Participate in interview, hiring, training/onboarding, and performance management processes for the fulfillment team
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in a warehouse supervisory role managing 5+ people, including an understanding of ecommerce fulfillment expectations
- Proficient in the use of computers and technology, including Google Docs and Spreadsheets, Shopify, ShipStation, and Slack
- Knowledge of fabric and/or prior experience handling fabric is an asset

- Physical Requirements of the position include: the ability to work on your feet and lift/move/push fabric rolls up to 50lbs frequently throughout the day
Additional Information
Position Type: Full-Time, Monday - Friday 9:00am - 5:00pm
Salary: $50,000 - $55,000. Salary will be determined based on level of skills and qualifications
